How to authorize a minor for the festival?

Minors can attend Rototom Sunsplash. All minors under 18 need an authorisation signed by their parents or legal guardians. In addition, depending on their age:

  • Minors under 16 must enter the venue and remain inside accompanied at all times by their parents or legal guardians.
  • Minors aged 16 and 17 may enter on their own, but they still need the signed authorisation.

The authorisation is completed online, with a digital signature, in just a few minutes.

Idea
We recommend that you complete the registration process before arriving at the festival. If you do it in advance, you'll avoid having to wait in line at the entrance.

Before you start, have ready

  • The booking reference of the minor's ticket. It is in the email we sent you with your tickets.
  • The responsible adult's details: name, surname, ID number, age and a contact phone number.
  • Access to your email: you will receive a code to validate the signature.
  • The minor's identity document, if they have one. Minors under 14 are not required to hold one: in that case, select the "No identity document" option.

You have already bought the minor's ticket

  1. Find the email we sent you with your tickets.
  2. Click the "Manage ticket" button next to the minor's ticket.
  3. You will see the "Minor access authorisation" section. If it is still pending, it will show "Pending completion" in red. Click "AUTHORISE NOW".
  4. Minor's details. Enter the booking reference of their ticket and click "ADD MINOR". Their details will load automatically: complete the document type and number.
  5. Responsible adult's details. Name, surname, ID number, age and contact phone number.
  6. Clauses. Read them and tick them all.
  7. Signature. Draw your signature in the box and validate it with the code you will receive by email.

Once finished, the screen will show "Authorisation correct" and you will receive a copy of the signed authorisation by email.

Notes
Coming with several minors? There is no need to repeat the whole process. In the minor's details step you can add them all, one after another, by entering the booking reference of each ticket: a single signature covers every minor listed in the document. Make sure no minor's ticket is left out, as it would need its own authorisation.

If you did not receive the email or cannot access it, log in to the Buyer Portal and complete it from there.

You are going to buy the minor's ticket at the box office, or you have not completed the process online

If you are going to buy the minor's ticket at the festival box office, or you already have it but did not complete the authorisation before travelling, you can do it on arrival. Don't wait until you are queuing at the box office: sort it out as soon as you get there.

  1. Fill in the authorisation details using the pre-authorisation link, which you can access by scanning a QR code available at the festival box office.
  2. You will receive an email that you must confirm by entering a 6-digit code.
  3. Once confirmed, you will receive a second 6-digit code.
  4. Hand that second code in at the box office. That is how we link the signed authorisation to the minor's ticket.

If something doesn't work

"This booking reference could not be added"
Check that you are using the booking reference of the minor's ticket and not the adult's, that it belongs to this edition of the festival, and that the authorisation has not already been completed.

The signing code doesn't arrive
Check your spam or junk folder. You can request the code to be sent again from the signature screen itself. If it still doesn't arrive, go back into "Manage ticket" and restart the signature step.

The copy of the authorisation doesn't arrive
Go back into "Manage ticket": if the section shows "Authorisation correct", the authorisation is registered even if you cannot find the email. There is no need to repeat the process.

On the day of the festival

Tickets are personal and may only be used by the person whose name appears on them. Bring your identity document to the venue: the organisation may ask to see it in order to check the details on the authorisation.
